A great treat for the office, holidays or anytime.
1 cup butter or margarine | 1/4 cup Amaretto |
1 1/2 cups sugar | 1 3/4 cups flour |
4 eggs | 1/2 tsp. salt |
2 tsp. vanilla | 1 cup sliced almonds, toasted |
1/2 bottom mixture |
3 oz. semi-sweet chocolate, melted |
1 tsp. almond extract |
2 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened | 1/2 cup whole cranberry sauce |
1/2 cup sugar | 2 Tbs. cornstarch |
2 eggs | 1 tsp. vanilla |
1/2 cup Mini-chocolate chips |
1/3 cup sliced almonds |
3 Tbs. sugar |
Preheat oven to 350F. grease and flour 13 x 9 pan. Set aside.
Bottom Layer:
Cream together in large bowl butter and sugar. Add eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla and Amaretto; blend. Add flour and salt. Remove half the mixture
to another bowl. To the first mixture, add almonds. Spread into the bottom
of pan; set aside.
Top Layer:
To remaining batter add melted chocolate and almond extract. Mix and set
aside.
Middle Layer:
In food processor or another bowl, place cream cheese and sugar. Blend and
add remaining ingredients. Pour over bottom layer; place in the freezer to
firm up middle layer. When slightly firm, place blobs of chocolate mixture
over the cream cheese mixture. Marble top two layers with back of a spoon
or knife.
Topping:
Combine and sprinkle on top. Bake for 25-35 minutes or until test is
clean. Cool on rack.
