These are best made with fresh green beans. A comfort food from my youth make by my Hungarian mother. Simple and simply deicious!
1 lb. fresh green beans,cut in pieces | 1/2 cup milk |
1 small onion, chopped | 1 tsp. paprika |
2 Tbs. butter | salt and pepper to taste |
1 Tbs. flour |
Cook green beans until tender. Drain and set aside. In saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender. Add paprika and flour and cook a few minutes to cook flour. Add milk and cook, making a sauce. Salt and pepper to taste, add beans.
