Green Beans Hungarian Style

These are best made with fresh green beans. A comfort food from my youth make by my Hungarian mother. Simple and simply deicious!


1 lb. fresh green beans,cut in pieces     1/2 cup milk
1 small onion, chopped 1 tsp. paprika
2 Tbs. butter salt and pepper to taste
1 Tbs. flour

Cook green beans until tender. Drain and set aside. In saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender. Add paprika and flour and cook a few minutes to cook flour. Add milk and cook, making a sauce. Salt and pepper to taste, add beans.
