This is a fantastic spread! Please dont let the anchovy paste turn you off. Ive served this many times and no one ever knows its in there. Its not fishy, just good.
1 - 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened | 1 1/2 tsp. paprika |
1/2 cup butter, softened | 1 tsp. caraway seeds, opt. |
2 tsp. anchovy paste or 2 anchovy fillets | fresh ground pepper |
1 Tbs. minced onion | Rye Crackers are best |
1 Tbs. prepared mustard |
Combine everything in food processor and blend smooth. Pack into a plastic wrapped lined mold and chill. Serve with rye crackers or toasted rye bread rounds. Makes 1 1/2 cups.
