Tip Safer Grilled Chicken:
To ensure a juicy but done piece of chicken, your microwave can be very helpful. Chicken pieces in the microwave should be cooked at 6 minutes per pound to be fully cooked. If you place your chicken in the microwave covered, do it at 4-1/2 minutes per pound; then immediately place it on the grill and baste it with your favorite sauce. You do not want to precook this chicken in the microwave and then put it in the refrigerator to cook it later. This is not safe! This method should be as stated from the microwave directly onto the grill to ensure we are serving a safe product. Take a small cut into the chicken and juices should run clear.
